Samsung unveils Galaxy S5 smartphone

A week ago, we reported on a leaked photo of the retail packaging for Samsung’s latest flagship product, the Galaxy S5. Just today, Samsung officially launched it in Barcelona after their new Gear smartwatch announcement. On the specifications front, the S5 features a 2.5 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and a 16-megapixel camera that supports 4K video recording and HDR.

Office for iPad could be coming soon

The iPad tablet is one of the most popular productivity devices in the market right now. Unfortunately, it is lacking arguably one of the top productivity apps out there today – Microsoft Office. While there are many third party apps such as QuickOffice and Documents To Go, an official Office for iPad by Microsoft will likely be a far more popular choice.

Twitter working on major site redesign

Twitter is still hard at work on its redesigned homepage geared towards mobile devices, and is understood to be testing more upcoming changes with a small group of users. Only a random number of users have been selected for the trial design. At the moment, changes reported by these users include, but is not limited to pictures showing up larger than before, and having a scattered timeline.

Nokia and HTC kiss and makeup before Valentine’s Day

It’s less than a week to Valentine’s Day and there’s already a piece of good news in the mobile industry. Earlier on, Nokia and HTC have signed a patent and technology collaboration agreement that will bring all patent litigation to an end. On top of that, both companies will work together to capitalize on HTC current LTE patent portfolio and will be on the lookout for any future collaboration opportunities.
