Acer introduced the industry’s first Chromebooks using a 4th Generation Intel Core i3 processor on July 10 US time. The Acer C720 Chromebook is available in two models powered by the fourth generation Intel Core i3 processor to provide more responsive performance for multi-tasking.

Both models of the Acer C720 Chromebook will run on a 4th Generation Intel Core i3-40005U processor (1.7GHz, 3MB L3 cache). The Acer C720-3404 will have 4GB of memory while the Acer C720-3871 will have 2GB of memory. The new Chrome OS models have an 11.6-inch ComfyView HD display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution.

Like other Acer C720 models, the new Chromebooks will have a 32GB Solid State Drive that boots up in under 7 seconds and resumes nearly instantly from sleep mode; 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, including connecting by video chats with the integrated HD webcam and microphone; and HDMI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports.
