HTC, known for mobile innovation and design, has announced that its all-metal HTC One (M8) flagship model is now available in Amber Gold in Singapore. HTC may hope to build on Asia’s love affair with gold phones as seen through the surprise demand for the gold edition of Apple’s iPhone 5S.
HTC is positioning the amber gold phone as a more luxurious model as compared to the existing colours of gunmetal gray and glacial silver.
“The HTC One (M8) has been HTC’s fastest selling phone to date and we are excited to bring on board some beautiful colours to continually widen the range for our customers,” said Jack Yang, President of South Asia, “The new amber gold colour further defines the HTC One (M8) as the luxurious must-have smartphone this season!”
The HTC One (M8) gold edition offers the same HTC One(M8) features, including the all new Sense 6 experience, HTC Duo Camera for advanced imaging, HTC Motion Launch, and HTC BoomSound.
The Sense 6 user interface features bold, customisable colour themes and delivers a more intuitive, personalised user experience while the Duo Camera boasts a depth sensor in addition to the main UltraPixel module to capture detailed depth information from a scene, enabling additional creative effects.
Motion Launch enables users to automatically interact with the phone without turning on the screen thanks to intuitive, low-power motion and proximity sensors controlled by a centralised hub. For example, calls can be answered by simply putting the phone to your ear without having to swipe up the screen.
The latest BoomSound technology creates an immersive, crystal-clear sound with rich tones from bass through to treble. Sound that is 25% louder than before can be delivered without compromising quality, through dual frontal stereo speakers with new amplifiers, redesigned speaker chambers and a tailored audio profile for a high definition experience.
The phone has been available in Singapore through a number of partners including SingTel, M1 and StarHub as of 21 June. It has a recommended retail price of S$958 for the 16GB model.
I think is a trend that more people like this color, since amber gold is a symbol of luxury. It seems that HTC starts to grab the market :)
