If you’re looking for a new laptop that offers both high-end specifications and premium look – and have money to spare, you may want to consider the new limited red edition of the VAIO Duo 13 and VAIO Pro 13 models – only 40 units per model.
The former is a convertible laptop with a screen that slides down to become a tablet, while the latter is an ultra lightweight laptop that tips the scale at a mere 1.09kg. Both devices comes with capacitance touch, full HD (1920×1080) 13-inch LED-lit Triluminos displays.
According to an Sony, these limited edition models offers enhanced specifications in the form of the Intel Core i7 i7-4500U Processor 1.80 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3 GHz, 8GB RAM, and a 512GB SSD for storage.
Here’s how Sony describe the pain job on this red series in an email message that they sent to us:
“Multiple paint layers are individually applied and hand-polished, building layer upon layer of lustrous colour. To give it that extra glossy finish, a durable protective UV coating creates an extra vibrant sheen with gorgeous depth and richness.”
The VAIO red edition laptops will be available in Singapore exclusively at all Sony Stores from 22 November 2013 onwards, and are priced at about twice the price of an entry level model from the same series: S$3,999 for the VAIO Pro 13, and S$4,299 for the VAIO Duo 13.
